How to Recover a TrueCrypt Password in Windows? (this is my password)

The original question was posted on Reddit and has already been closed ☹. However, for TrueCrypt (as for any other strong protection) the answer in 2021, just as years before, is still the same:

“For the topic starter, obviously, the issue is already solved, but I would like to recommend Passcovery Suite anyway.

Three reasons why:

• GPU acceleration on NVIDIA/AMD

• Extended mask

• Merging and mutation of multiple dictionaries

With graphics cards enabled, searching will go faster (RX 6000 are awesome at it 😜). By using range customization options with brute force or dictionary attack you will cut unnecessary password arrays and save much time.

So we will ̶w̶i̶n̶ break the password. 😃

Goal: To recover a forgotten strong password

Method: Cutting off unnecessary password arrays to reduce the range to the most likely ones; testing the resulting range at the maximum rate
